ROSE CHAPERON
I am Rose Chaperon.
I grew up in India, in a home where two cultures were never separate. My mother is Indian, my father is French, and together they created a life where both worlds existed as one. Our everyday moments reflected this blend, where meals that brought together familiar European flavors with Indian touches, like French rice salads reimagined with leftover idli. It wasn’t fusion for the sake of novelty. It was simply how we lived.
Pune is my home. But so is Paris, where my father is from. These two places, so different yet equally formative, have shaped me into the person I am today. I don’t see my identity as divided, I see it as layered, rich, and interconnected.

At Rose Chaperon, we aim to create a space where cultures meet naturally. Through art, fashion, and home furnishings, we bring stories, traditions and craftsmanship into everyday life.
This is not about blending cultures into something unrecognizable. It is about honoring each culture while allowing them to coexist, just as they have in my own life.
